@everyone WHAT IS +EV BETTING? 🟢
Positive EV betting is basically finding bets where the odds are better than what the true probability says they should be.
Example:
If a sharp market suggests a team should really be around -150, but another sportsbook is offering +110, that +110 has value. You’re getting paid more than you should for the actual chance of that outcome happening.
That does NOT mean every +EV bet wins. You can lose plenty of individual bets. The whole idea is that if you consistently take numbers that are priced incorrectly, over hundreds of bets you’re putting the math in your favor.
This is completely different from just posting something like:
“Lock of the day 🔒 -180”
Anybody can look at a favorite, see they’re expected to win, and bet them at -180. The problem is you’re risking $180 just to win $100, and if that price is bad, winning often doesn’t automatically make it a good bet.
We’re not just asking:
“Who is going to win?”
We’re asking:
“Are the odds the sportsbook is giving us better than the actual probability of this happening?”
That’s the difference between picking winners and betting value.
And the best part is these aren’t some magical secret picks only one person can find. Anybody can learn how to compare sportsbook prices, look at sharper markets, calculate implied probability, and identify when a softer book is offering a better number.
The edge comes from being disciplined enough to only bet when the price makes sense.
We’re not chasing locks. We’re chasing bad numbers from the sportsbooks. 🟢
