US intervention on the yen was the moment that made me reconsider and liquidate many of my positions. The other scenario, Japan selling US Treasuries, would have been far more consequential, and it was very much on the table.

The 10-year US Treasury yield is the world's most watched interest rate, a single number that encodes market expectations about growth, inflation, and risk appetite all at once. Today it sits near an 18-month high, hovering between 4.68% and 4.70%, a level that is sending mixed signals across global asset markets.

Conventionally, a rising long-term yield relative to shorter-term debt, a steepening yield curve, reads as a vote of confidence in future growth. But the current elevation of the 10-year rate tells a more complicated story, one shaped by a distinct set of macroeconomic forces that resist easy interpretation.

$GFS jumped 11% after signing a letter of intent with the U.S. Department of Commerce for a $300M CHIPS R&D award to advance silicon photonics, the technology that moves data using light rather than electrical signals, which sits at the core of next-generation AI data centre architecture.

The funding covers next-gen optical materials, wafer technologies, 3D hybrid bonding, and near and co-packaged optics, targeting 400Gb/s transfer speeds and five times greater energy efficiency than current implementations. As part of a separate agreement, the Commerce Department will take roughly a 1% equity stake in the company.

$CRCL surged 15% to $72.34 in premarket trading on July 10, after the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency approved the company's application to establish a national trust bank, a first for a stablecoin issuer of this scale.

The charter lets $CRCL act as custodian for its own USDC reserves and hold digital assets directly on behalf of institutional clients, bringing the company under federal oversight and planting it firmly inside traditional finance rather than sitting on the outside of it.

For a company whose entire business is built on trust in a digital dollar, having a federal banking charter backing that isn't just regulatory it's a structural upgrade to the credibility of USDC itself.

On June 23, $PENG was named an NVIDIA AI Factory Specialised Partner, an invitation-only designation recognising proven experience designing, building, deploying and operating full-stack NVIDIA-based AI factory infrastructure, awarded to a select group within the NVIDIA Partner Network.

CEO Kash Shaikh mentioned how $PENG has been doing this for over a decade with hyperscalers, enterprises, sovereign AI initiatives and neocloud providers, with real deployments behind it including Korea's Haein AI Factory built with NVIDIA and SK Telecom, and a production-ready AI inference platform deployed for Deepgram covering large-scale speech and voice AI workloads.
