What 2 years of coaching people I met on the road taught me about "discipline"

I don't coach clients I found on Instagram. I coach people I've actually met — in hostels, co-working spaces, on flights. Early-stage founders and nomads trying to build location-independent income while their body falls apart from bad sleep, no training, and eating whatever's convenient in a new city every two weeks.

Here's the pattern I see over and over: people think they lack discipline. They don't. They lack a system that survives a change of timezone, currency, and kitchen.

A few things that actually move the needle when you're never in the same place twice:

1. Train the movement, not the gym. If your program only works with a specific machine, it breaks the first time you're in a country without one. Build around bodyweight + one adjustable tool (bands or a pair of dumbbells you can pack).

2. Nutrition targets, not meal plans. A meal plan dies the moment you land somewhere with different food. Protein/cal targets travel with you — the meals don't have to.

3. Supplement for gaps, not hype. Creatine, a multivitamin, and whatever your bloodwork says you're actually missing. That's 90% of it.

4. Weekly check-ins beat daily willpower. You don't need to feel motivated every day. You need someone reviewing your week and adjusting the plan before you fall off it entirely.

I built Borderless Coaching around this exact problem — remote coaching for people building their business on the move, with occasional in-person sessions when our paths cross. If that's you, come say hi.
