3 mistakes that blow up 90% of options traders

Been trading options for years. Here's what separates the 10% who make money from everyone else:

1. Position sizing like a gambler

Most traders put 20-50% of their account into a single trade. I never risk more than 2-5% of my account on any single position. Boring? Maybe. Profitable? Absolutely.

2. No exit plan before entry

If you don't know your exact profit target AND stop loss before you click buy, you're trading on emotion. Every alert I send has these pre-defined.

3. Chasing after a move already happened

The stock just ran 15% and NOW you want in? That's FOMO, not a strategy. The real money is made by positioning BEFORE the move.

The market rewards the prepared, not the emotional.

If you want daily trade alerts with exact entries, targets, and stops — I share everything inside Oskar's Sales Lab.

5 mistakes I see every beginner make (and how to avoid them)

I've talked to hundreds of people trying to start their first business. The same mistakes come up every single time.

Mistake 1: Spending months on a logo and website

Nobody cares about your logo. Your first 10 customers will come from DMs, word of mouth, or social media — not a website. Build the website later. Make money first.

Mistake 2: Trying to serve "everyone"

"My product is for anyone who wants to make money" = your product is for nobody. Get specific. "I help college students learn freelance copywriting" is 10x better than "I teach business."

Mistake 3: Never launching because it's "not ready"

Your first version will be rough. That's fine. Ship it. Get feedback. Improve. The people who win aren't the ones with the best product — they're the ones who actually launched.

Mistake 4: Copying someone else's business exactly

Inspiration is good. Carbon copying is bad. If you sell the exact same thing as someone with 100k followers, you'll lose. Find your own angle. What makes YOU different?

Mistake 5: Giving up after 2 weeks

Building a business takes time. Most people quit right before it starts working. The ones who win are the ones who kept going when it felt pointless.

Commit to 90 days. If you put in real effort for 90 days and it doesn't work, pivot. But most people never make it past day 14.

The $100 challenge: make your first hundred dollars this week

If you've never made money online, your only goal should be $100. Not $10k/month. Not "passive income." Just $100.

Here's why: once you make $100, you understand the game. You've done the hardest part — getting someone to pay you.

5 ways to make $100 this week:

1. Freelance one task on Fiverr ($20-50/gig)

Create a profile. Offer something simple: logo design, video editing, data entry, voiceover. Price it low to get your first review. First review = credibility = more orders.

2. Flip one item ($30-100 profit)

Buy something cheap at a thrift store or garage sale. Sell it on eBay or Facebook Marketplace for more. Shoes, electronics, and vintage clothes work best.

3. Manage someone's social media ($50-100)

Find a local business with a bad Instagram page. DM the owner: "I can make your page look professional and post 3x/week. First week is free." After the free week, charge $100/week.

4. Tutor someone ($25-50/hour)

Good at math, a language, or any school subject? Post on Wyzant or just tell everyone you know. Parents will pay $25-50/hour for a good tutor.

5. Write something for someone ($50-100)

Businesses need emails, blog posts, product descriptions. Go on Upwork, search for writing gigs, and apply to 10 today.

The rule: pick ONE and do it TODAY. Not tomorrow. Not after more research. Today.

Who's in? Comment "I'm in" and tell me which one you're trying.

How to find your first business idea (stop overthinking it)

Everyone wants the "perfect" idea. Here's the truth: there is no perfect idea. There's only execution.

But if you genuinely don't know what to do, here's a simple framework I use:

The Skill + Pain Method

Step 1: List 5 things you're decent at.

Not expert-level. Just better than the average person. Examples:

  • Editing photos

  • Explaining things clearly

  • Staying organized

  • Playing a video game well

  • Cooking fast meals

Step 2: Find who has a problem you can solve with that skill.

  • Good at editing? → Small business owners need social media content.

  • Good at explaining? → Students need tutoring.

  • Good at organizing? → Busy professionals need virtual assistants.

Step 3: Offer to solve that problem for ONE person.

Not 100 people. One. DM them. Say: "Hey, I noticed [their problem]. I can help with that. Want me to do it for free so you can see my work?"

That's it. That's how every business starts — one person paying you to solve their problem.

The idea doesn't need to be unique. It needs to be useful.

Drop your 5 skills in the comments — I'll tell you what business you could start with each one.

The 3 businesses you can start this weekend with $0

Most people overthink starting a business. They think they need a perfect idea, funding, a website, a logo, an LLC.

You don't need any of that.

Here are 3 businesses you can start this weekend with nothing but your phone:

1. Sell a skill on a marketplace

Can you write? Edit videos? Design graphics? Post on Fiverr or Upwork today. Your first client is one good proposal away.

2. Resell things you already own

Go through your closet, garage, and old electronics. List them on eBay, Depop, or Facebook Marketplace. People are sitting on hundreds of dollars of stuff they never use.

3. Start a content page and monetize attention

Pick a topic you know about. Post 1 short video per day on TikTok or YouTube Shorts. Once you hit 1k followers, brands will pay you — or you can sell a digital product.

The hardest part isn't the business model. It's actually starting. Stop researching and start doing.

If you want help figuring out which one fits you, join the Sales Lab. I break everything down step by step.
