Why we ditched tiered pricing and just built one plan

Most software businesses on here run 3 tiers: Basic, Pro, Enterprise. I get why — it segments willingness to pay. But it also means half your users are stuck locked out of features that would make them love your product, and your support team spends half its time explaining what's in which tier.

We just launched Max Access: one product, one price, everything unlocked. No feature-gating, no "upgrade to unlock this." You pay once, you get the whole toolkit, forever.

Why this works better for a small software shop:

  • Zero decision fatigue at checkout = higher conversion

  • No support tickets asking "does my plan include X"

  • Every customer has a reason to explore every feature, which means more feedback on all of it, not just the entry-tier stuff

The tradeoff is obvious — you leave some revenue on the table from whales who'd pay more for a premium tier. But if you're early and need traction over margin, simplicity wins. Worth trying before you build out a pricing ladder you don't need yet.
