Your coffee is sour because the grind is wrong — not because you need a new machine
Most “I need a better machine” problems are grind problems.
If the cup is sour, sharp, and gone in two seconds, the water ran through too fast. Grind finer. If it is bitter, dry, and sticks to your tongue, grind coarser. Change only that. Brew again tomorrow.
A $120 burr grinder and 18 grams of coffee to 288 grams of water will beat a café machine fed stale supermarket beans. Buy a bag with a roast date on it. Use it within three weeks. That is the whole trick.
I wrote the rest of the method — pour over, French press, AeroPress, cold brew, and a troubleshooting page — as a course. But you can steal the ratio today and make a better mug before the kettle clicks off.
