3 Questions to Ask Before You Delete Any iPhone Photo
Your iPhone says "Storage Almost Full" and you're staring at 12,000 photos wondering what's safe to remove.
Before you delete anything, ask yourself these three questions:
1. "Does this photo exist anywhere else?"
Check Settings → your name → iCloud → Photos. If "Sync this iPhone" is ON and you have enough iCloud storage, your photos are likely backed up. But "likely" isn't good enough for your daughter's wedding photos — verify it by logging into iCloud.com/photos from a computer.
2. "If my phone died right now, could I get this photo back?"
This is the real test. If the answer is no, that photo is one cracked screen away from gone. Don't delete it — back it up first.
3. "Am I deleting this because I want to, or because my phone is pressuring me?"
Storage warnings create panic. Panic leads to regret. The truth is, most people can free up 3-5 GB just by removing duplicate photos, old screenshots, and large videos they'll never watch again — without touching a single memory.

The rule is simple: never delete an original until a second copy exists somewhere safe.
Start with duplicates and screenshots. Leave the memories alone until you have a backup plan in place.
