3 Mistakes Intermediate Traders Keep Making
Been trading for a while but still not consistently profitable? You're probably making one of these mistakes.
1. Overtrading after a loss
You take a bad trade, and instead of stepping away, you revenge trade trying to make it back. This is the #1 account killer. Set a daily loss limit. Hit it? Walk away. The market will be there tomorrow.
2. Ignoring the higher timeframe
You're scalping the 5-minute chart without checking the daily or 4H. You're fighting the trend and wondering why your setups keep failing. Always start top-down. The higher timeframe tells you the direction — the lower timeframe tells you the entry.
3. No trade journal
If you're not tracking every trade with entry, exit, reasoning, and outcome — you're guessing. You can't improve what you don't measure. Screenshot + 2 sentences. Do it for 30 days and you'll see patterns you never noticed.
Trading is a skill, not a gamble. Build the process, and the results follow.
