Most people start with AI image generation and immediately hit a wall. The outputs look generic, plasticky, or just... off.

After generating thousands of images across Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, and Flux, here's what I've learned:

Mistake #1: Vague prompts

"A beautiful landscape" gives you stock photo energy. Instead, try: "Golden hour light cutting through fog over a moss-covered coastal cliff, shot on Hasselblad, Kodak Portra 400 film grain." Specificity is everything.

Mistake #2: Ignoring negative prompts

Negative prompts are just as important as positive ones. If you're not telling the model what to avoid (blurry, deformed hands, oversaturated), you're leaving quality on the table.

Mistake #3: No post-processing workflow

Raw AI output is a starting point, not a finished product. The best creators run their images through upscaling, color grading, and compositing workflows that make the final piece indistinguishable from professional photography.
