Playkeeper is a free, open-source (AGPL-3.0) dashboard for running Minecraft: Java Edition servers on a Linux VPS you rent. One command installs it, and everything else happens in a browser dashboard that also works on phones.

Run several servers per VPS (Paper, Purpur, Vanilla, Fabric, Quilt, NeoForge and Forge), add plugins and mods from Modrinth and Hangar, make backups while players stay online and keep encrypted copies off the server, invite friends with a link, and get Discord alerts. Updates are signed and roll back by themselves if something goes wrong.

Joining is free and takes you straight to the install command, the live demo and the code.

You need a VPS running Ubuntu 24.04 on x86_64 with at least 2 CPU cores, 3 GB of memory and 5 GB of free disk. You pay your VPS provider; Playkeeper itself is free.
