The 3 things I check before every crypto trade
Most people lose money in crypto because they skip the boring stuff. Here's exactly what I look at before I enter any position:
1. Liquidity zones, not support/resistance lines
Everyone draws lines on a chart. But lines don't move markets — liquidity does. I map where stop losses are stacked and where big orders are sitting. That's where price actually reacts.
2. Funding rates + open interest
If funding is extremely positive and OI is climbing, the market is overleveraged long. That's not bullish — that's a liquidation cascade waiting to happen. I check this before every single trade.
3. The "would I take this trade at 2x leverage?" test
If a setup only works at 10x or higher, it's not a setup — it's a gamble. Every trade I take has to make sense at conservative leverage. That's how you survive long enough to compound.
These three filters alone have saved me from more bad trades than any indicator ever has.
