4. Skip the tennis balls

The felt wears down enamel over time. Go for rubber fetch balls instead — they bounce better anyway.

5. Rotate, don't replace

Dogs get bored of the same toys. Keep 3-4 in rotation and swap them weekly. Old toys become "new" again.
