The $50/week family meal prep that changed everything
I used to spend $150+ a week on groceries and still end up ordering takeout 3 nights because nothing was prepped.
Then I started doing one thing differently: I prep Sunday, eat all week.
Here's the framework that cut my grocery bill in half and gave my kids actual home-cooked meals every night:
1. The 3-protein rotation. Pick 3 proteins for the week (chicken thighs, ground turkey, eggs). That's it. No variety paralysis.
2. One carb, one grain, one green. Rice, sweet potatoes, and broccoli cover 80% of family dinners. Boring? Maybe. But your wallet and your kids' health don't care.
3. The 2-hour Sunday session. Batch cook everything. Proteins in the oven, grains on the stove, veggies chopped and stored. Monday-Friday you're just reheating and plating.
4. The leftover flip. Tuesday's chicken becomes Wednesday's wraps. Thursday's rice becomes Friday's fried rice. Zero waste.
I built PrepRight because I got tired of Googling "easy family meals" every week. Now I just follow the plan.
If you're a parent who wants to stop stressing about dinner — this is for you.
