The 3 things no one tells you about grief (that changed everything for me)
When I lost someone I loved, everyone said "time heals." They were wrong.
Time doesn't heal anything. What heals is what you do with the time. Here are 3 things I had to learn the hard way:
1. Your identity didn't die — it's waiting to be reclaimed.
When you lose a spouse, a child, someone central to your world, you lose the version of yourself that existed in relation to them. But you're still here. The question isn't "who was I?" — it's "who am I becoming?"
2. Empowerment starts with one honest conversation with yourself.
Not the "I'm fine" conversation. The real one. The one where you admit you're terrified, angry, and lost — and then decide to move forward anyway. That conversation changed my life.
3. You don't have to do this alone.
I spent months thinking I had to "figure it out" by myself. The truth? Healing accelerates in community. When you see another woman who understands your pain — not from a textbook, but from lived experience — something shifts.
I went through a major loss. I survived it. And now I help other women navigate theirs.
If this resonates, I built a space for exactly this. No pressure, just truth.
