3 Risk Management Rules That Saved My Account
Most traders blow their accounts not because of bad entries — but because they have zero risk management.
Here are 3 rules I follow on every single trade:
1. Never risk more than 1-2% per trade.
Doesn't matter how confident you are. One bad trade shouldn't set you back weeks.
2. Always set your stop loss BEFORE entering.
If you're moving your stop loss after entry, you're gambling. Decide your invalidation level and stick to it.
3. Take partials at 1:1, let the rest ride.
Lock in profit early, then let the remainder run risk-free. This keeps your win rate high and your drawdowns small.
These aren't flashy, but they're the difference between traders who survive and traders who disappear.
