The $340 I found sitting in my Amazon Seller Central account
Ran a reimbursement audit on my own FBA account last month out of curiosity. Amazon owed me $340 across three things I never would've caught manually:
Lost inventory in a fulfillment center that never got reimbursed automatically (happens more than you'd think — Amazon doesn't proactively pay these out, you have to file)
Weight/dimension fee overcharges on two ASINs where the listed size didn't match what Amazon actually measured and billed
A returned unit marked "customer damaged" that photos proved wasn't
None of this is a scam or a loophole — it's just Amazon's system defaulting in its own favor unless you check. If you're a seller and you've never run a reimbursement audit, you're probably owed something too. Storage fees creeping up during Q4, split shipments getting billed twice, that kind of thing.
I ended up writing down every leak point I could find into a full checklist because I kept losing track of which ones I'd already checked. Happy to share what I look for if people want it — just didn't want this to read like an ad, genuinely just surprised how much was sitting there unclaimed.
