The 3 AI workflows that quietly saved my agency 15 hours/week

Running a solo agency means you're the strategist, the account manager, and the person actually doing the work. Something had to give, so I started forcing AI into the boring parts. Three workflows stuck:

1. Client reporting on autopilot

Feed last month's raw metrics into a structured prompt (I keep a template with the exact sections a client cares about: wins, misses, next steps) and it drafts 80% of the report. I just fact-check and add the human read on why something moved. Saved ~4 hrs/week.

2. Ad copy variants at scale

Instead of writing 10 headline/body variants by hand for testing, I write ONE strong hook manually, then have AI generate structured variations across angles (pain point, social proof, urgency, curiosity). I only ever ship copy I've personally edited — AI gets you 70% there, never 100%.

3. Onboarding docs that write themselves

New client kickoff docs (goals, access checklist, comms cadence) used to take an hour each. Now it's a fill-in-the-blank prompt based on a discovery call transcript. Five minutes, and it's more consistent than what I wrote manually.

None of this replaces judgment — clients are paying for your taste, not a prompt. But the mechanical 60% of agency work is exactly what AI is good at, and every hour you claw back is an hour you can spend on strategy or actually sleeping.

Curious what other solo operators have automated — drop it below.
