Most people's first Midjourney/SD prompt looks something like this:

"a cool dragon in a fantasy world"

And then they wonder why the output looks generic. Here's what's actually going wrong:

1. No style anchor. AI models default to a bland composite if you don't specify a visual style. Add something like "in the style of Studio Ghibli watercolor" or "hyperrealistic octane render" and watch the quality jump.

2. Missing composition details. "Close-up portrait" vs "wide shot aerial view" completely changes the image. Most beginners skip this and get random framing every time.

3. Keyword soup with no structure. Throwing 50 keywords with random commas breaks the model's attention. The order and weighting of your prompt matters more than the word count.
