I stopped writing ad copy from scratch — here's the prompt structure I use instead
Most people write ChatGPT prompts backwards. They ask it to "write a Facebook ad for my product" and get generic mush back.
The fix: give the model a role, a framework, and constraints — every time.
Example structure I use for cold ads:
Role: "You are a direct-response copywriter who has run 8-figures in Meta ads for DTC brands."
Framework: Force it into a proven format (PAS, AIDA, or a specific hook style) instead of letting it freestyle.
Constraints: word count, tone, banned phrases ("unlock", "elevate", "game-changer" — ChatGPT loves these, humans don't).
Do this and the first draft is usually 80% there instead of 20%.
I packaged 200+ of these structured prompts (ads, emails, landers, hooks) into one library if you want to skip building your own — but honestly, even just stealing this 3-part structure will change your output quality today.
