Why Most Traders Lose on Futures (And How to Fix It)
I've been trading futures and options for years. Here's the pattern I see with traders who blow up:
1. They chase entries. You see ES rip 20 points and jump in at the top. The best trades come when you're patient — waiting for your setup, not chasing momentum.
2. They ignore the macro. You can't trade NQ in a vacuum. CPI, FOMC, jobless claims — these move markets. Know the calendar before you open a position.
3. They size too big. One good trade doesn't mean you go 10x on the next one. Consistent sizing is what keeps you in the game long enough to compound.
4. They trade without a plan. Every trade I take has a defined entry, stop, and target before I click the button. No plan = gambling.
