What I'd actually put in a first-month puppy box
Most puppy starter kits are a pile of cheap toys and a bag of treats that ends up in a closet. The first 30 days are when you're actually building habits — so the box should match that.
Here's what I'd put in month one, and why:
A well-fitted collar and ID tag — not decorative. You'll need this for the vet, walks, and the one time they slip out the door.
Two toys, not ten. One chew that survives teething. One you play with together. Overstimulation is real.
A high-value treat for crate training. Cheap biscuits don't buy you the 3am sit-and-stay.
A simple grooming wipe and a nail file. Coat and nails get ignored until they're a problem.
A one-page routine card. Feeding times, potty windows, first-week sleep. New puppy parents don't need more products. They need a system.
If I had to cut it to three items: collar, chew, and the routine. Everything else is noise until week two.
Curious what you'd add or cut.
