5 signs your puppy is bored (and what to do about it)

Most behavior problems — chewing furniture, barking at nothing, destroying shoes — aren't aggression. They're boredom.

Here are 5 signs your pup needs more stimulation:

1. Excessive digging or scratching

They're trying to burn energy. A 20-minute sniff walk does more than an hour of running.

2. Following you room to room

Not just clingy — they're looking for something to do. Puzzle feeders are a game-changer.

3. Destroying toys in minutes

They need harder challenges, not more toys. Frozen Kongs and lick mats work wonders.

4. Zoomies at odd hours

Midnight sprints = unspent energy from the day. Structure their playtime earlier.

5. Whining or barking at walls

They're literally telling you they're understimulated. Mental exercise (training sessions, hide and seek) tires them out faster than physical exercise.

At Puppy Keeper, we build our daycare days around mental + physical enrichment so your pup comes home tired, happy, and calm. Not wired.
