The 3 gear upgrades that actually make you faster
Most running gear is marketing. Let's be honest — 90% of what brands sell you won't shave a second off your mile.
But there are three upgrades that genuinely changed my running:
1. Lightweight shorts with no liner bunching
If you've ever done a long run and spent the last 3 miles adjusting your shorts, you know. The right pair disappears on you. That's the standard we're building to at Pursuit.
2. A shirt that handles sweat, not just wicks it
"Moisture-wicking" is table stakes. The real question is what happens at mile 8 when you're soaked. Does it cling? Does it chafe? The fabric weight and cut matter more than any tech label.
3. A hoodie you can actually train in
Most hoodies are for the couch. A real training hoodie needs to breathe during warmups, block wind on cold morning runs, and not weigh 3 pounds when it's damp.
We're building all three at Pursuit Running Co. — designed by runners, for runners who actually care about the gear they train in.
