A working, pinned Docker Compose stack for local data analytics. Not a link dump - the integration layer, done for you.
WHAT YOU GET
WHAT’S INSIDE
DuckDB (MIT) - a full analytical SQL database that runs in-process. Point it at Parquet or CSV files and query them immediately, with no server to run and no data to load first.
Polars (MIT) - multi-threaded dataframes with a lazy query API. Handles datasets that make pandas give up, using far less memory.
WHY THESE TWO
Most data work does not need a cluster. It needs SQL that finishes and a dataframe library that does not fall over on a few million rows. Both run on a laptop, and both stay useful when the data grows.
ALL OPEN SOURCE, ALL PERMISSIVE
