After 30 years of development work across Africa, I've noticed a pattern: the leaders who create lasting change don't just focus on one area. They build outward in four concentric circles.

Circle 1: Self — You cannot lead others to abundance if your own identity and worldview are fractured. Clarity starts here. Who are you? What do you believe about the world? What has God called you to do?

Circle 2: Family — The family is the first institution God created. When families are strong, communities don't need to rescue them. When families are broken, no government programme can fix what's underneath.

Circle 3: Community — This is where most leaders want to start, but it's Circle 3 for a reason. Your ability to develop a community is directly proportional to how well you've built Circles 1 and 2.

Circle 4: Nation — Policy, economy, culture. These are shaped by leaders who've done the inner work first. Too many want to change the nation without changing themselves.

The mistake I see most often? Skipping straight to Circle 3 or 4 — and wondering why nothing sticks.

Biblical leadership starts from the inside out. That's why abundance is a journey, not a shortcut.
