3 mistakes that cost sneaker resellers thousands every year

Been reselling sneakers for years now, and I see the same mistakes wipe out beginners over and over:

1. Sleeping on restocks

The initial drop is only half the game. Most of the real profit comes from restocks that happen weeks or months later — often with zero hype. The people who monitor restocks consistently make way more than the ones chasing every hyped release.

2. Not knowing your margins before you buy

If you're buying a shoe just because it's "limited," you're gambling. Check StockX, GOAT, and eBay sold listings BEFORE you hit checkout. If the spread is less than $30 after fees and shipping, it's not worth your time.

3. Holding too long

Sneaker prices peak within the first 1-2 weeks for most releases. After that, it's a slow bleed. The resellers making real money flip fast and reinvest. Don't get emotionally attached to inventory.

These are the fundamentals that separate people making a few hundred bucks a month from those pulling in thousands consistently.
