Building a marketplace for an industry nobody markets: laundromats
Most local-service marketplaces chase the same crowded niches — coaching, trading, SaaS. I picked laundromats instead, because they're basically invisible online and their owners have zero time to market themselves.
RinseHQ connects laundromat owners with nearby customers who want pickup & delivery. Owners list their business for a small subscription to get discovered — that's it. They choose their own service model (pickup + delivery, pickup only, or in-store), and any offer they want to run, entirely on their own terms. Customers browse and request pickups for free.
Biggest lesson building this so far: don't dictate how the business on the other side operates. I almost shipped a version that told owners "here's how delivery works" — pulled it back and just let them declare it themselves. Trust builds faster when you hand over control instead of writing rules for someone else's business.
Currently onboarding laundromats. If you own one, know someone who does, or just want to poke at a fresh two-sided marketplace build — check it out: whop.com/rinsehq. Genuinely happy to answer questions or hear what you'd do differently.
