I've coached dozens of women through their fitness journey, and the same meal prep mistakes keep coming up. If you're putting in the work but not seeing results, one of these might be why.
1. You're not eating enough protein.
Most women drastically undereat protein. Aim for at least 25-30g per meal. It keeps you full longer and helps your body recover from workouts.
2. You're prepping food you don't actually like.
If your meal prep tastes like cardboard, you'll quit by Wednesday. Find healthy foods you genuinely enjoy ā there are more options than chicken and broccoli.
3. You're skipping breakfast prep.
Breakfast is where most people fall off. If you don't have something ready to go in the morning, you'll grab whatever's convenient (and it won't be good).
4. You're making too many different meals.
Keep it simple. 2-3 meals, rotated through the week. Variety is overrated when you're building consistency.
5. You're not tracking portions.
You don't need to count every calorie forever, but eyeballing portions when you're starting out is a recipe for eating way more than you think.
If this resonated, come join Royal Fitness ā I'm building a community for women who want real coaching, meal plans, and accountability without the BS. š
