The #1 scam hitting new Whop sellers right now (and how to avoid it)

If you're new to Whop and running affiliate campaigns, read this.

There's a pattern I keep seeing: someone offers to "moderate" your campaign for free. Sounds helpful, right? Here's what actually happens:

  1. They DM you offering help managing approvals and rejections

  2. Once they get approve/reject access, they create multiple Whop accounts

  3. They submit to your campaign from those fake accounts

  4. They approve their own submissions and drain your budget

  5. They leave fake positive reviews on their own accounts to build credibility

By the time you notice, your budget is gone and the "moderator" has vanished.

How to protect yourself:

  • Never give campaign access to someone who approached YOU

  • Verify every affiliate submission yourself

  • Check if review accounts look suspicious (new accounts, no history)

  • If it feels too easy, it probably is

I built SafeWhop Academy to help new sellers learn these lessons without losing money first. Join us — it's free.

Welcome to SafeWhop Academy 🛡️

Welcome to the community. Here's how to get the most out of this:

1. Check the Scam Alerts feed — I post real scam breakdowns here regularly. Read them. Learn the patterns.

2. Use the Community Chat — If something feels off about a deal, a moderator, or an affiliate submission, ask the group before you act. We've seen it all.

3. Key rules to live by:

  • Never give admin/approve access to someone you just met

  • If a "moderator" DMs you first asking to manage your campaign — that's a red flag

  • Check review accounts. Scammers create multiple accounts to leave fake reviews for themselves

  • Run your own campaigns. Don't outsource trust.

Stay sharp. This is your business — protect it.
