Most people think you need a RED or a Sony FX6 to make cinematic content. You don't.

I've been shooting cinematic YouTube videos with an Insta360 Ace Pro 2 and a DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Total cost: under $800 for both.

Here's what actually makes footage look "cinematic":

1. ND filters change everything. Shooting at the right shutter speed (double your frame rate) gives you natural motion blur. A $30 ND filter on an action camera makes it look 10x more expensive.

2. DaVinci Resolve is free. Color grading is where the magic happens. You can take flat, washed-out action cam footage and make it look like it was shot on a cinema camera. The free version of Resolve does 95% of what you need.

3. Movement > Resolution. A smooth gimbal shot at 1080p looks way more cinematic than a shaky 4K handheld clip. The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 has a built-in gimbal that makes everything look buttery.

4. Sound matters more than picture. A DJI Mic 2 with a lav is $150 and sounds professional. Bad audio kills a video faster than bad video.
