Come join me in my fitness programme. I will help you get in the best possible body shape. ๐
You don't have a motivation problem. You have a systems problem.
Most guys start a cut, go hard for 2 weeks, slip up on a weekend, and say "I'll start again Monday." Then Monday turns into next month. Sound familiar?
Here's the fix:
1. Set a 12-week commitment, not a "diet"
You're not "trying to eat better." You're running a 12-week body recomposition program. It has a start date, an end date, and weekly checkpoints. Treat it like a project.
2. Plan for bad days
You WILL have days where you eat over your calories. That's fine. One bad day in a week of 7 doesn't ruin anything. The damage comes from turning one bad meal into a bad week. Ate too much? Cool. Next meal, back on plan.
3. Track something every single day
Even if it's just your weight or a gym selfie. The act of tracking keeps you conscious. The second you stop tracking, you start drifting.
4. Tell someone
Post your stats in the chat. Share your starting weight. Post your meals. When other people know your goals, you're 65% more likely to follow through (that's a real stat from the American Society of Training and Development).
5. Focus on the process, not the scale
Did you hit your protein? Did you train today? Did you sleep 7+ hours? If yes, the results WILL come. The scale fluctuates daily โ your habits don't lie.
Drop your current weight and goal weight in the community chat right now. That's your first step. No hiding.
Forget meal plans. Here's how to actually set up your nutrition for fat loss so it works AND you can stick with it.
Step 1: Find your calories
Take your bodyweight in lbs ร 12 = your cutting calories
Example: 180 lbs ร 12 = 2,160 calories/day
This is your starting point. Adjust after 2 weeks based on results.
Step 2: Set your protein
1g per lb of bodyweight (this is non-negotiable)
180 lbs = 180g protein/day
This protects your muscle while you lose fat
Step 3: Fill the rest
Fat: 25-30% of total calories
Carbs: whatever's left
Example for 180 lbs at 2,160 cal: 180g protein / 60g fat / 200g carbs
Step 4: Meal timing doesn't matter much
Eat 2-4 meals a day, whatever fits your schedule
Hit your numbers by end of day, that's it
Pre-workout meal 1-2 hours before training helps performance
Step 5: Track for 2 weeks minimum
Use MyFitnessPal or any tracker
Weigh yourself daily, take the weekly average
Losing 0.5-1% bodyweight per week = perfect pace
Foods that make this easy:
Protein: chicken breast, ground turkey, eggs, Greek yogurt, whey protein
Carbs: rice, potatoes, oats, fruit, bread
Fats: olive oil, avocado, nuts, cheese (in moderation)
Stop overcomplicating it. Deficit + high protein + consistency = results. Every time.

Most guys train hard and still can't get lean. Here's why:
1. You're eating "clean" but not in a deficit. Chicken and rice doesn't matter if you're eating 3000 calories and burning 2400. Track your intake for one week โ most people are shocked at the real numbers.
2. You're doing too much cardio, not enough lifting. Cardio burns calories in the moment. Muscle burns calories 24/7. If you're not resistance training 3-4x per week, you're leaving fat loss on the table.
3. You're not sleeping enough. Under 7 hours = elevated cortisol = your body holds onto fat, especially around the midsection. This one's free and most people ignore it.
The formula is simple: caloric deficit + progressive overload + 7-8 hours of sleep. Do that consistently for 12 weeks and you won't recognize yourself.
I built ShredLab to give guys a step-by-step system for this โ weekly programs, nutrition guides, and a community that actually holds you accountable. If you're serious about getting lean, come through.
