I started Soft Pocket Society because I got tired of the two extreme options for celebration cakes: an entire 8-inch cake nobody finishes, or a sad grocery store cupcake with zero personality.

The 2-inch format forces a different kind of craftsmanship. You can't hide behind size — every layer, every piping detail, every flavor combo has to be intentional because it's the whole experience in a few bites. It's basically jewelry you can eat.

Turns out this format is perfect for gifting: it's affordable enough to send "just because," but detailed enough to feel like a real gesture. Most of my orders come from people sending one to a friend or partner for a small milestone — not a big birthday, just a Tuesday that deserved something sweet.

If you're building anything creative — food, physical products, whatever — I'd push you to think about what happens when you shrink your product down to its smallest meaningful unit. Sometimes constraint is the whole idea.
