The 15-minute rule that changed how I declutter

I used to think decluttering meant spending an entire weekend pulling everything out of closets and making a bigger mess before it got better. Spoiler: I'd burn out by noon and shove it all back in.

Then I started using a simple rule: 15 minutes, one space, done.

Not an entire room. Not a whole closet. Just one drawer, one shelf, or one corner of a counter. Set a timer, sort into keep/toss/donate, and stop when it rings.

Here's what surprised me โ€” after a week of this, I'd cleared out more than I ever did in a full "declutter weekend." And I didn't dread it.

The trick isn't motivation. It's making the task so small your brain can't argue with it.

I put my entire approach into a step-by-step guide. 15 pages, no fluff, room by room. If you've been putting off decluttering because it feels overwhelming, this is built for you.
