If your last outdoor prop snapped at the ankles or peeled off the bed at 2am, it wasn't "bad luck." It was the file plus the first 5 mm.

What actually breaks hobby prints

• Walls at 2 perimeters. Wind and a kid's foot will snap that. Use 3 walls on anything that stands in a yard.

• 0.2 mm first layer on a cold bed. Go 0.28 mm, wash the plate, no fan on layer 1.

• Tiny contact patches. A 6-foot ghost with a 40 mm base is going to tip. Split the file or add a brim + weighted base.

• Wet PLA. If it looks fuzzy and the nozzle pops, dry it before you reprint the same STL.

I slice for Bambu, Ender, and Prusa because those are the machines sitting in garages in October. Cosplay helmets and yard props fail the same way: first layer, wall count, then humidity.

If a print already failed, don't reprint the same gcode. Change one thing. Then, if it's still junk, that's a settings problem, not a "buy a new printer" problem.
