5 Reasons Your Restaurant's Social Media Isn't Bringing in Customers

Most restaurant owners post food pics and wonder why nobody new walks in. Here's what's actually going wrong:

1. You're posting for other foodies, not hungry locals. Beautiful plating shots get likes from food bloggers in another city. Your content needs to target people within 10 miles who are deciding where to eat tonight.

2. No call to action, ever. Every post should make it easy to take the next step — "DM us for a reservation," "Link in bio to order," "Tag someone you'd bring here."

3. You're ignoring Reels and TikTok. Static photos get 3x less reach than short-form video. A 15-second clip of a sizzling pan outperforms a professional photo every time.

4. Inconsistent posting kills the algorithm. Posting 5 times one week and going silent for two weeks resets your reach to zero. The algorithm rewards consistency, not bursts.

5. You're not using location tags and local hashtags. Generic tags like #foodie reach millions — and none of them are your customers. Use your city and neighborhood tags on every single post.

Fix these five things and you'll see a difference within 30 days. Or let us handle it — that's literally what we do.
