Why your restaurant's Instagram isn't bringing in customers (and what to fix today)
Most restaurant owners post food pics and wonder why nothing happens. Here's the problem — you're creating a menu, not a feed.
After managing social for dozens of restaurants, here are the 3 biggest mistakes I see:
1. No faces in your content
People follow people, not plates. Show the chef plating a dish. Show the bartender shaking a cocktail. Show a table laughing over dessert. Engagement jumps 2-3x when there's a human in the frame.
2. You're posting at the wrong time
Posting a lunch special at noon means nobody sees it until 3pm. Post your lunch content at 9-10am when people are planning. Dinner content goes up at 2-4pm.
3. No call to action
Every post should make someone do something — save for later, tag a friend, click the link in bio to reserve. "Come visit us!" is not a CTA. "Tag someone you owe dinner" is.
Fix these three things this week and watch what happens.
If you want us to handle it for you — that's what Apex Media does.
