Most students I work with do not fail SAT Math because they “don’t know math.” They fail because they never log the mistake.

A typical week looks like this: 40 practice questions, 8 wrong, none of the 8 written down. Next week, the same 8 show up in a different costume.

What actually moves a score from 1280 to 1480 is ugly and slow:

• One notebook. Every miss goes in it.

• Not “wrong because careless.” The real reason: misread the constraint, used the calculator as a crutch, translated the word problem into the wrong equation.

• The same type of miss cannot appear twice. If it does, the note was a lie.

Digital SAT is adaptive. Module 2 gets harder if Module 1 went well. Students who only drill easy questions look strong until the exam turns. Students who catalog errors look average in week 1 and dangerous by week 8.

If you are prepping this year: stop collecting more PDFs. Open last Saturday’s practice test. Write the 10 misses in plain language. That page is worth more than another full-length.
