This course builds on our Understand Contracts Better course to help you prepare for negotiations and to better review and use contracts.

Each video takes a clause and explains what it is, what it does and why it’s there. You’ll see sample clauses and case studies that provide practical insights into theoretical ideas. Then you’ll access negotiation tips and learn how to apply clauses once a contract is signed.

The course is for founders, small business owners and freelancers who negotiate and manage contracts but don’t have access to a lawyer or contract specialist.

It was created by Mike Yeomans, a qualified solicitor of England and Wales. Since 2008 he has written, negotiated and managed deals worth up to US$1 billion in over 35 countries. He explains contracts in plain English for non-lawyers.
