Most small business owners make the same branding mistakes over and over. Here's what I see constantly — and how to fix each one without hiring a designer.

1. Too many fonts. Pick two. One for headings, one for body text. That's it. Google Fonts has hundreds of free options — stick with Inter + a serif like Playfair Display.

2. Inconsistent colors. Create a simple 3-color palette: primary, secondary, accent. Use Coolors.co to generate one in 30 seconds. Save the hex codes somewhere you won't lose them.

3. Low-res logo on everything. If your logo looks blurry on your website or social media, it's doing more damage than having no logo at all. Export at minimum 1000x1000px PNG with a transparent background.

4. Cluttered social media graphics. White space is your best friend. If you're cramming 6 lines of text onto an Instagram post, nobody's reading it. One message per graphic.

5. No template system. Every time you make a new post or flyer from scratch, you waste hours and break brand consistency. Build 3-5 reusable templates and rotate them.
