Why most Notion templates fail (and how we fixed it)

Most Notion templates die in week two.

Not because they're ugly, and not because they're missing some clever database view. They die because they were designed for the version of you that exists on day one — motivated, caffeinated, ready to fill in every field.

That person doesn't show up every day. The tired version of you does. The version who just wants to open a page, see three things that matter, and get moving without thinking about the system itself.

So when we build a template, the test isn't "does this look impressive in a demo video." The test is: does this still work if you ignore it for a week? Can you open it cold, with zero memory of how it's structured, and immediately know what to do next?

That's the actual design brief behind every system we ship — fewer decisions per page, obvious next actions, and structure that survives real inconsistent use. Not a productivity fantasy. A tool for the tired end-user.

If you've ever abandoned a "perfect" template within a month, this is probably why.
