You're not slicing because of your swing speed

Most weekend golfers think they slice because they "swing too hard."

That's not it.

A slice is an open face + an outside-in path. Speed just makes the curve bigger. You can swing at 80% and still watch it balloon into the right trees.

The fix that actually sticks:

1. Grip first. If the "V" between thumb and index points at your trail shoulder, the face is already open at address. Rotate both hands a touch toward the target so you see 2–3 knuckles on the lead hand.

2. Ball position. Too far forward with the driver and the face hasn't squared yet. Play it off the lead heel — not out past your toes.

3. Swing to the right field. Feel like the club is coming from inside and finishing left. If your divots (or the grass under the tee) point left of target, you're cutting across it.

Do those three on the range before you change anything else. One bucket. Then play 9.

That's the whole game for beginners. Not a new driver. Not a YouTube rabbit hole.
