If you're building TikTok auto-posting, there's a trap that costs weeks.
The Content Posting API returns privacy_level_options, and almost everyone reads it as "the gate is open, I can post." It isn't. That field describes the USER'S account settings — it says nothing about whether YOUR app has passed TikTok's audit. An unaudited client gets refused on every single post, and the response doesn't make that obvious.
So the gate always looks open, and you ship, and nothing ever lands. I pulled my own numbers to be sure: across 1,827 finished videos, not one had ever reached TikTok. Eight days to find it, and only because I stopped trusting the response field and went and counted rows in the database.
Two things I'd do differently: check your app's audit status directly instead of inferring it from a response field, and if a destination shows zero in production, treat the zero as a signal before you treat it as a coincidence.
