The study technique that got me through finals (no BS)
Most study advice is garbage. "Just focus more" isn't a strategy.
Here's what actually moved the needle for me:

Pick one friend who's also studying
Both start a timer at the same time
First person to stop or get distracted loses
Loser buys coffee
Sounds dumb. Works insanely well. Here's why:
Loss aversion — you hate losing more than you enjoy winning. Putting something on the line (even coffee) makes you lock in harder
Social accountability — knowing someone else is grinding at the same time makes you not want to quit
Short sprints > marathons — competing in 90-min blocks beats trying to study for 6 hours straight
