I've been 3D printing masks for 3 years and I've seen every shortcut in the book. Layer lines visible from across the room. Cheap PLA that warps in your car. Paint that chips the first time you wear it.

Here's what actually matters:

1. Resolution matters more than size

Most printers run at 0.2mm layer height. We print at 0.05mm. That's the difference between "looks cool from 10 feet away" and "looks like it came off a movie set."

2. Post-processing is 60% of the work

The print is just the beginning. Sanding, priming, filling, painting — that's where a mask goes from "3D printed thing" to "holy crap that's real."

3. Fit is everything

A mask that looks perfect but doesn't fit is a paperweight. Every design gets test-fitted on multiple head sizes before we sell it.

4. Material choice depends on the use case

Display piece? Resin all day. Wearable cosplay mask? You need the right balance of durability and weight.
