Modern off-road e-bikes now hit 45mph+, run 40-60 miles on a single charge, and produce instant torque that petrol bikes physically can't match at low RPM. No clutch, no stalling on steep climbs, no chain maintenance.

The riding experience is completely different too. Silent motors mean you can actually ride trails that have noise restrictions. You hear the terrain, the wind, your mates shouting behind you. It's a purer experience.

The biggest misconception is that electric = slow. Anyone who's ridden a properly specced e-bike on a trail knows that's nonsense. The acceleration off the line will catch most 250cc petrols off guard.
