Why most Survivor Pool instructors burn out by Week 8 (and how to fix it)

Running a paid survivor pool sounds simple until you're 8 weeks in, manually tracking 100+ entries, fielding the same "who do I pick" DMs every Tuesday, and re-doing spreadsheets after every upset.

The instructors who last a full season (and actually grow their member count year over year) all do the same three things differently:

1. They automate the boring parts first.

Entry tracking, elimination logging, and reminder DMs should never be manual past week 2. If you're still doing this by hand, you're trading hours you could spend on strategy for busywork.

2. They ship picks on a fixed weekly cadence — not "whenever."

Members pay for certainty. A strategy drop that shows up like clockwork every week builds more retention than an occasionally-brilliant one that's inconsistent.

3. They price for the value of NOT losing, not just for access.

A good survivor strategy vault isn't a content dump — it's risk management. Members are paying to avoid getting eliminated in Week 3 on a trap game. Price and package accordingly.

We built Survivor Vault around exactly this: a weekly strategy vault + automation stack so instructors can spend their time on picks and their members, not spreadsheets.

Open to questions from anyone running a pool right now — happy to compare notes on retention and automation setups.
