Why East African cashews hit different

Most cashews you find in stores are processed in bulk, bleached, and roasted in cheap oil. By the time they reach you, the natural sweetness is gone.

East African cashew trees grow in volcanic soil along the coast — the mineral-rich earth gives the nuts a buttery, almost caramel-like flavour that you can't get anywhere else.

At Swahili Select, we source directly from small farms in the region, hand-select each batch, and roast them in small quantities to lock in that natural flavour.

If you've never tasted a properly sourced cashew, you're in for something special. R120 for a 250g bag — once you try them, supermarket cashews won't cut it anymore.
