Dropshipping burned you. Nodes are a different game.
Most people who "want passive income" still buy a playbook that needs them to run ads every day.
Dropshipping, SMMA, theme pages. You rent attention. When the ad account dies, the income dies with it.
DePIN, nodes, and mining are closer to owning a pipe. You put hardware or capital into a network other people use, and the network pays you for being there. Not glamorous. Not a 30-day challenge.
Three differences that actually matter:
You pay upfront (hardware, tokens, time) instead of paying Meta.
The work is setup and monitoring, not creative and customer service.
The downside is usually a boring machine, not a chargeback pile.
The trap is treating every new node project like a dropshipping product. Most of them die. The job is to filter, not to farm 40 launches a week.
If you have already been through one hustle cycle and you still want extra income, start by asking: what can I own for 12 months that keeps paying if I close Instagram tomorrow?
