3 tax deductions most people miss every single year
I've been studying tax law for years, and it still amazes me how much money people leave on the table.
Here are 3 deductions that are completely legal but almost nobody claims:
1. Home office deduction (even if you rent)
If you use any part of your home regularly and exclusively for work โ even a corner of your bedroom โ you can deduct it. The simplified method gives you $5/sq ft up to 300 sq ft. That's $1,500 off your taxable income for doing nothing different.
2. Health insurance premiums (self-employed)
If you're freelancing or running a side business and paying for your own health insurance, that entire premium is deductible. Not as an itemized deduction โ it comes right off the top of your income.
3. Education expenses for your business
Courses, books, certifications, coaching โ if it improves skills you use to earn money, it's deductible. Most people never track these.
These are just the surface. There are dozens more that most accountants won't even mention unless you ask.
I put all of them in one place โ every loophole, every strategy, every form you need. That's what Tax Cheat Codes is.
