Welcome to T1D Life.
If you’re here, type 1 diabetes is probably part of your life now.
Maybe you were just diagnosed.
Maybe your child was.
Maybe someone you love has it and you feel scared, confused, or overwhelmed.
I understand that feeling.
My name is Gonchi.
I’ve lived with type 1 diabetes since I was 6 years old.
Today I’m 21.
And in my family, four siblings live with this condition.
This page was not created by a doctor reading from a textbook.
It was created by someone who has lived this reality every single day for years.
The fear.
The sleepless nights.
The low blood sugars.
The frustration.
The burnout.
The feeling that nobody truly understands.
But also:
the sports,
the travel,
the dreams,
the normal life,
the laughs,
the relationships,
and the realization that diabetes does NOT have to stop you from living fully.
I’ve seen both sides of this disease.
I’ve seen how serious diabetes can become when we ignore it for too long.
And I’ve also seen how much of that future can be avoided through awareness, support, and learning how to truly take care of yourself without living in fear.
That’s why I created this space.
Not to scare people.
Not to judge anyone.
But to help people feel less alone, more prepared, and more hopeful.
You can live a beautiful life with type 1 diabetes.
But you shouldn’t have to figure everything out alone.
Welcome to T1D Life.
